Eagle Utopia client mod

Without our mod you will not be able to see the effects of our dynamic economy, nor will you be able to use cloaking devices, enter added systems or enjoy much more of the things we have added to enrich your game play experience on Eagle Utopia.

Installation instructions

  • First you will need to install Freelancer mod manager v1.31 (FLMM).
  • Make sure you deactivate and delete older copies of our mod.
  • Download the mod to your harddrive and doubleclick it.
  • In FLMM activate the mod by selecting it in the list and clicking 'Activate mod'.

Important!

  • Use of other mods are illegal on the server!
  • Don't activate the Eagle Utopia mod while the game is running, exit the game first.

Known issues

  • A client without EU DeathMatch mod installed will crash if he/she is near (within 5K) one of the new jumpholes/gates and someone else goes through.
  • If your character is saved somewhere in the new systems, your game will crash if you try to load this character without having the Eagle Utopia mod active (e.g. after reinstallation of the game)

FAQ

Q: How to get to DeathMatch system?
A: You can find one of the jumpholes in the New York system, fly from Planet Manhattan toward the sun. About 17K out you will come accros the jumphole (appears on your map), dock with it and you will be on your way.

Q: Im getting a SH copy error, what does that mean?
A: Some files the mod tries to alter may be read only, you will have to manually set all files in your freelancer game directory to writable before attempting to activate DeathMatch.

Q: Why can't I activate the DeathMatch mod?
A: Its possible some of the game files have been corrupted, use of other mods could do this. Try using the restore backups option in FLMM (Ctrl+R), followed by activation of the DeathMatch mod.

Q: I can't connect to the server anymore, what's wrong?
A: Our mod allows you to use make a direct IP connection to the server, if you have this installed and you still don't see the server than you could try deactivating/reactivating in FLMM to make sure you get the initial command box which takes care of connecting.
